Article Marketing Strategies That Really Work

By Bob Steele

If you're involved with article marketing, you've had to make some adjustments in your approach since the Panda update introduced by Google not long ago. Article marketers used to have a choice when it came to how to leverage their articles. Basically you had those who chose syndication and the greater percentage who marketed at directories to get immediate search engine ranking. At this point, however, you can't count on getting ranked if you write sloppy or poorly written articles.

Just one strategy for better article headlines makes use of the copywriting technique of giving very specific information. Even though this is nothing new, if you do not know about it then it is new to you. If the numbers in the headline strategy is good enough for magazines, then you know it is worthwhile. The gossip papers that you see at the newsstands have copywriters who specialize in headlines, and they are well compensated. The entire headline has to work well and properly address the concerns of your audience. Too often, article marketers don't make the most out of their articles; once an article is published, they don't get any lasting leverage out of it. When you do this, you're limiting your potential results by not following through in any way. To help you see what you can do instead, we'll provide just one possibility. Look for authority sites related to your own topic, sites that have a good reputation and get plenty of visitors. Ask some of these bloggers and site owners if you could send them some content that they might like to publish. If you've already published a large number of articles, you could send these website owners links.

Content theft is a daily problem on the internet, and something you've likely experienced before. Swiped content is a particular problem if you regularly submit to article directories. If you use the right approach, however, you may be able to turn this problem into a blessing in disguise. When you find your content used without the link back to your site, contact the person who took it and offer them a deal. Don't be angry or threatening, but talk to them in a reasonable manner. First of all, inform them that if they want to use your articles they must publish the resource box or a link; then tell them that you'll be glad to supply them with articles consistently if they agree to this condition. Otherwise, if they ignore your request you will submit a DMCA take-down notice.

The only way you will break the barrier with your net business is to break things wide open with the traffic situation. These approaches do work very well, but you have to be serious and produce strong content. You cannot let any impatience get in the way here, and it takes a little time and focused efforts.

A few years ago the situation with FaceBook advertising has just taken off like a rocket. We are sure you can find FaceBook user groups in your market, and if there is not one you can make one. The need to only publish terrific content is obvious, and you cannot deviate from that as it is all important. People will see who you are, and that is where it all begins with your funnel. You can turn your article marketing into a powerful force for your business when you start acting like you are a professional. Your mental attitude has a lot to do with what you achieve in many areas. Article marketing is a technique that only works when you give it your all and don't give up until you reach your goal. So make up your mind that you will become as knowledgeable about article marketing as you can, and that you'll put your knowledge to good use.
